About 10 years ago, Fumeihua installed several HPL lockers in our own factory for daily tool storage.
Since then, the lockers have been used regularly to store electric drills, hardware, cables, and other workshop tools. This long-term use has allowed us to observe how HPL lockers perform in a real factory environment.
Long-Term Performance of HPL Lockers
The lockers are made from 12 mm compact HPL panels and are used in Shenzhen’s relatively humid climate.
After around 10 years of daily use, the panels remain stable, with no obvious swelling or delamination under normal conditions. The surfaces are also easy to clean and maintain.
Each cabinet carries approximately 100–120 kg of tools during daily use, while the overall structure remains stable.
Reliable Hardware for Daily Use
The lockers are equipped with 304 stainless steel waterproof hinges.
After approximately 20,000 opening and closing cycles, the hinges continue to operate smoothly. This shows that long-term locker performance depends not only on the HPL panel, but also on reliable hardware and proper cabinet construction.
